3 Nights

With a 3 night package you will able to enjoy your choice of activities for 2 full days plus a half day activity on your day of arrival. This option is great for those wanting to spend a weekend and do not have specific wildlife spotting goals. The longer you stay the more chance you will have of seeing your sought after unpredictable wild creatures.
4 Nights

With a 4 night package you will able to enjoy your choice of activities for 3 full days plus a half day activity on your day of arrival. This option is great for those wanting to spend a long weekend or a mid-week break. You will be able to fit in almost all activities once.
7 Nights

With a 7 night package you will able to enjoy all of the activities at least once and repeat your favourites. This option is great for those looking to target specific species and can lend itself to more relaxed pace if you feel the need for it in between adventures.
Included in the prices are accommodation in private safari chalets with ensuite bathroom, food, non-alcoholic drinks, two activities per day, park fees, conservation levies, guides, road transfers, Wi-Fi, Mfuwe airport transfer.
The packages are based on the 2021 dry season rates. If travel resumes before November this year (2020) then lower rates will be available.
There is a single supplement of €60 per night for solo travellers.
A Typical Day at Zikomo Safari Lodge
At 05:15 security guards will give you a wake up call by GENTLY knocking on your door.
At 05:30 breakfast awaits you in front of a campfire at the Boma area. Juice, coffee, pancakes, Oatmeal and fruit get you ready for your drive at 06:00
From 06:00 to 08:00 the early morning air bursts with songs of one of over 450 species of birds in the area greeting the day and mammals grazing with their young Along the Luangwa River.
At 08:00, a stop for a coffee/tea and snack break, after our refreshments continue the drive to see the magnificent wildlife of the Luangwa valley.
Come back to the camp at around 10:00 to 11:00 (depending on the sightings) and lunch is served by the pool at 11:30.
After lunch you are free to catch up with a nap, or a walk around the camp, a swim in the pool or play a game of backgammon in the lounge.
At 15:30, meet for African tea and cakes and go out at 16:00 for your evening drive.
At sunset, take a relaxing stop to admire the incredible sunsets (or as it is known in Africa “a sundowner”). To have a gin & tonic, a beer or a soda and a small snack before continuing your drive into the night.
Night drives allow you to catch a glimpse into the life of predators of the African night who are on the hunt and whether it is a lone leopard, a pride of lions or a pack of wild dogs, it is always an incredible experience to view a hunt or just to see these magnificent animals in their element.
Come back to the lights of Zikomo at anywhere from 19:00 to 20:00 and dinner under the stars await.
After dinner and cocktails a game of pool, a night swim or just a hot chocolate ends another perfect day in your little paradise.
Arriving at Zikomo Safari Lodge
Located on the edge of the Luangwa valley in the Nsefu Sector of South Luangwa, Zambia.
The most common way to reach Zikomo Lodge is to fly to Lusaka and then take a domestic flight to Mfuwe. From here you will be collected from the airport and driven 45 to 60 minutes to camp.
It is also possible to arrive from Malawi. Arriving at Llongwe and then using a third party transport company to drive 2 to 3 hours until you reach camp.
Guest are of course welcome to drive themselves with private vehicles. A 4 x 4 is required.
Recommended domestic flight provider to from Lusaka to Mfuwe is ProFlight. The above packages are intended for this itinerary.
